Shoots
About Me: Shoots are very similar to microgreens in the sense that they pack a big nutrient punch but they are grown about double the size of microgreens and usually from larger seeds. The type of shoots we grow at Catena farm are sunflower, nasturtium, popcorn, and pea. Just as micros, shoots are meant to top any dish you would like. They have a nice crunch but are still delicate enough to put on any meal. Shoots can stand a little heat but we recommend always using them raw.
*Please wash your shoots before use and remove any left over seed pods*
To Store: Keep shoots in an airtight container in the fridge. They will keep for about a week.
Recipes: Put them on everything!
